Zandvoort more than just beach
Nature
Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland
A unique nature reserve and perhaps your ‘back dune’ for activities such as hiking, cycling, horse riding, and swimming. Most areas in the national park are freely accessible via roads and trails, between sunrise and sunset.
Amsterdamse waterleidingduinen
Did you know that the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen is the largest nature reserve along the Dutch coast? You can enjoy endless walks there. Choose one of the hiking trails we have marked out. They lead you through forests, dunes, and heathlands. And what’s also nice? Almost everywhere, you can wander off the paths to explore freely. And who knows, you might encounter a fallow deer, roe deer, or fox along the way!

Museum
Style rooms, fishing attributes, ship models, paintings, photos, models of old buildings, and video presentations depict the transition from fishing village to seaside resort for a large audience.
Exhibited items that have washed ashore or been left on the beach.

Circuit Park Zandvoort
Important sporting moments at Circuit Zandvoort include the first Formula 1 Grand Prix counting towards the World Championship in 1952, and the 1961 Grand Prix where all 15 starting cars reached the finish without pit stops. The last World Championship race at Zandvoort took place in 1985. Today, the track has been expanded to 4300 meters, and a new covered main grandstand was built in 2001. Major events still take place here annually, such as the DTM and the Masters of Formula 3
